Boston, MA - [DATE] - The Boston Library Consortium is thrilled to announce that Marc Hoffeditz, formerly BLC’s Resource Sharing Program Manager, has been promoted to Deputy Director, effective February 1, 2026.

Since joining BLC in 2023, Marc has fundamentally reshaped how BLC approaches resource sharing and cross-institutional collaboration. Members consistently commend his clarity, steadiness, and ability to navigate complexity while building trust, shared purpose, and forward momentum.

In his new role as Deputy Director, Marc will serve as BLC’s second-in-command and assume leadership responsibility for both the Network Zone and BLC’s Resource Sharing programs, while also taking on broader organizational leadership responsibilities

"For the past two and a half years, I have been enormously privileged to steward BLC’s resource sharing work in partnership with our various membership communities through cross-consortial initiatives to make resource sharing more efficient, cost-effective, and equitable. Building on that work and the relationships we’ve strengthened together, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of Deputy Director and look forward to serving our broader consortial membership in this expanded capacity." - Marc Hoffeditz, Deputy Director, Boston Library Consortium
