University of Massachusetts Amherst

As a key partner in teaching, learning, and research at UMass Amherst and beyond, the Libraries foster a diverse, inclusive, and user-centered environment in which to engage with ideas and acquire the skills necessary for independent learning and critical thinking.

The UMass Amherst Libraries provide collections, services and spaces in three locations:

Members of the UMass Amherst community can use resources of other BLC member libraries by obtaining a BLC Consortium Card from the Integrated Service Area in any of the UMass Amherst Libraries.

BLC students, faculty and researchers can use UMass Amherst resources by obtaining a BLC Consortium Card from their library.

UMass Amherst is represented on the Boston Library Consortium Board by its Dean of Libraries.
