Active Learning with Primary Sources Workshop
Thursday, April 26, 2018 - 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Training
The BLC was pleased to announce our collaboration with the Librarians Active Learning Institute, a half-day workshop specially designed for BLC member libraries: "Active Learning with Primary Sources". With instructors from Dartmouth College: Laura Barrett, Director of Education and Outreach, and Archivist, Peter Carini. The workshop was held in the John J. Burns Library at Boston College on April 26th from 1PM-5PM.
In this workshop, participants engaged in a reflection activity to consolidate their learning, discussed applications for their teaching, asked questions, and discussed points of interest.
At the end of this session, participants are able to utilize backward design in teaching, create measurable learning objectives, and outline learning activities, instructional methods, and assessments.
