The BLC is pleased to announce the October webinar of our Expanding Knowledge Webinar Series "CollabOERation: Partnering with your campus bookstore on affordability and OER efforts" moderated by Jeremy Smith, UMass Amherst Libraries & Apurva Mehta, UMass Boston on Wednesday, October 3rd at 1pm.
Learn how to partner with your bookstore to advance affordability and open educational resources efforts on your campus. This experienced panel will discuss their efforts at studying and implementing successful, and not so successful, library bookstore collaborations.

Steven J. Bell is the Associate University Librarian for Research and Instructional Services at Temple University. He writes and speaks about academic librarianship, learning technologies, library leadership, higher education, open learning content, design thinking and user experience. He currently writes at Designing Better Libraries, a blog about design thinking and library user experiences. He authors weekly columns for Library Journal Academic Newswire, "From the Bell Tower" and "Leading From the Library". He is co-author of the book “Academic Librarianship by Design” and editor of the book “Crucible Moments: Inspiring Library Leadership”.

Rachel Dilley is the Open Education Resources Librarian at Columbus State Community College. Prior to joining Columbus State in March 2017, she worked as an adult services librarian at a small public library and as a circulation clerk at a county law library. Dilley spent the first 20 years of her career working as a paralegal before obtaining her M.L.I.S. from Kent State University in 2016. She is an active member of the Community College Consortium for Open Educational Resources as well as the Academic Library Association of Ohio.
