The BLC is pleased to announce the next webinar of our Expanding Knowledge Webinar Series, "Expanding Knowledge: Introduction to Resource Sharing-ILL" with Dzintra Lacis, Brandeis University's Resource Sharing Librarian and Angie Batson, the Resource Sharing Specialist at Wellesley College was held on Wednesday, December 13th, from 10-11AM. 


This webinar presents an introductory view of resource sharing and ILL to the non-practitioner and provides insight into its relevance and application in participants' daily work in their library. Topics include ILLiad, lending and borrowing, research services, unmediated ILL technology, the future of resource sharing, and the upcoming transfer to Tipasa. Dzintra Lacis has worked in Resource Sharing/Interlibrary Loan for 15 years. Before Brandeis she was a library aide in the same public school system attended by her daughter. During that time she developed a keen interest in libraries inspiring her to return temporarily to Australia for library studies at the University of South Australia. 

Angie Batson has worked at Wellesley for 4.5 years. Before Wellesley, she worked in Interlibrary Loan at Northeastern University for 7 years and as the Evening & Reserves Supervisor at Lesley University for 4 years.  She has her Master’s in Elementary Education but developed her love of libraries while working various work-study positions in college.  Angie enjoys all things ILLiad, evaluating workflows, and enjoys supervising and working with her students.
