Science Librarianship in the Time of COVID-19

August 5, 2020; 1 - 4:15 PM EST

Since March 2020, science librarianship has rapidly evolved to meet changing needs as well as to comply with social distancing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. What are the challenges of working and adapting to the so-called “new normal” of the COVID-19 era?  What are the hacks, methods, or activities that you have designed or created to meet the new needs of library patrons and users? What do you anticipate evolving in the future of academic librarianship?  Presenters will talk about how remote work has informed changes to reference services, pedagogy, outreach, and practice.

This virtual conference includes six 15-minute presentations and six 5-minute Lightning Talks. Speakers are science librarians from across the United States and Canada.
