Networking Day 2019 Recording & Presentations Now Available

The 2019 BLC Networking Day was a great success. Staff from all nineteen member libraries attended a full day of engaging presentations and updates on the work of the BLC and its Communities of Interest. Outgoing BLC President, Simon Neame (pictured at left, Dean of Libraries at University of Massachusetts Amherst), gave a welcome recognizing the work of our member libraries. His remarks were followed by a presentation from DeEtta Jones (DeEtta Jones & Associates), who spoke in depth about Courageous Leadership. Following DeEtta's presentation, a panel of BLC Leads alumni participated in a round table discussing their experiences in the program, as well as how the program has influenced their work.

The afternoon brought an update on the BLC from Susan Stearns, and this was followed by several lightning talk presentations from across the membership. The presentations ranged from the ins and outs of surveying patrons, to updates on collaborative archival projects, and the latest trends in information literacy.

The day closed with COI meetings and a small social gathering of former BLC Leads participants.

A recording  of the introductions and DeEtta's Keynote (starting at minute 6:54)is available in our Vimeo channel
The slides from the Lightning Talks are available on the Event Page
