Join BLC's Strategic Action Committee

BLC is launching its new Strategic Action Committee in January, 2026! The Strategic Action Committee is charged with affirming and advancing BLC’s five strategic priorities as BLC’s long-term strategic framework. Working within these enduring priorities, the Committee will assess current initiatives, surface emerging opportunities, and recommend a focused set of high-impact ideas that will guide BLC’s work over the next several years.

Grounded in the strengths, needs, and diversity of BLC’s member institutions, the Committee will:

• Endorse and reaffirm BLC’s five strategic priorities as a durable strategic framework, ensuring they continue to reflect BLC’s mission and guiding principles
• Identify high-impact ideas and initiatives under each strategic priority, recognizing the substantial work already in progress.

Timeline and Approach

The Committee will operate as a time-bound, collaborative, and forward-looking group, delivering recommendations at BLC Forum 2026 that are:

• grounded in BLC’s long-term strategic priorities,
• informed by current work already underway, and
• focused on generating implementable, high-impact ideas that shape BLC’s next chapter.

Membership

Up to ten members, including representation from the Board of Directors, co-chairs of BLC’s membership Communities, members at large, and the executive director.

Expected Time Commitment

• Regular Zoom meetings from January to May 2026
• Up to two in-person meetings
• Attendance at BLC Forum in June 2026
