BLC is a member of a number of organizations whose work, mission, or services advances BLC's strategic directions or core operations.
All members of the BLC are Library Standards Alliance members of the National Information Standards Organization (NISO). This membership includes free registration for NISO’s monthly webinar series, unlimited participation in NISO Working Groups and Standing Committees, and discounted registration for all non-webinar events, including the annual NISO Plus conference.
Project ReShare sets the standard for how libraries collaborate, partner, share resources, and connect patrons to the information they require by developing user-centered, standards-based, community-driven, and community-owned library technologies and tools.
BLC serves as the fiscal sponsor of Project ReShare.
Members of the Professional Development Alliance of Library Consortia expand the range of professional development opportunities available to their respective members by sharing online content and partnering on collaborative programming.

Through active engagement, Library Futures Coalition provides librarians, policymakers, and community leaders with the tools, knowledge, and resources necessary to protect, advocate for, and advance a fair digital future for libraries and the communities they serve.
The International Coalition of Library Consortia (ICOLC) is a professional organization of approximately 200 library consortia from around the world. ICOLC serves consortia staff by providing professional development, information and expertise sharing, and peer benchmarking with like-minded organizations.
