The Boston Library Consortium (BLC) includes 19 public and private academic research universities, liberal arts colleges, special research libraries and state libraries in Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire.
Libraries interested in membership in the BLC or in working with the BLC should contact the Executive Director. The BLC is glad to entertain institutions concerned with higher education and research as potential members. In December of 2015, the BLC modified its Membership guidelines to support both Full and Affiliate Members. The BLC also works with libraries, other consortia and vendors on a variety of projects around issues of importance to academic and research libraries.
