BLC Welcomes Amahl McHenry as New Executive Assistant and Membership Coordinator

The Boston Library Consortium (BLC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Amahl McHenry as the Executive Assistant and Membership Coordinator, effective April 11th, 2023.

As a former agency Director of Inbound Marketing and Strategy, Amahl will leverage her background in online marketing, project management, client relations, and leadership to strengthen the value of the BLC Communities by offering digital expertise, supporting collaboration, and facilitating communication to encourage member engagement.

"Amahl brings extensive experience in digital marketing, strategy development, project management, and multi-team administration, and she will be an exceptional addition to our growing team."

Throughout her career in the digital outreach space, Amahl has successfully managed complex projects, utilizing strategic thinking, active listening, data analysis, and creative problem-solving to help teams achieve their goals. She has excelled largely due to her strong ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Amahl is an empathetic, curious, and thorough communicator who enjoys creating conditions for people and organizations to thrive.

This new role reconfigures our Executive Assistant and Senior Program Coordinator position to reflect the aspirations shared by staff at our member institutions and the BLC Communities in our ongoing strategic planning efforts. In this expanded full-time role, Amahl will help engage and sustain the BLC Communities to promote sharing of infrastructure, knowledge, and resources through collaborative projects across BLC's member institutions. Amahl is also tasked with developing an internal and external communications strategy to promote BLC's strategic initiatives.

Amahl holds a Bachelor of Arts & Science in English and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire and currently resides in Exeter, NH.
