Discovery Team

During the implementation, the Discovery Team will coordinate discussion and decision-making concerning acquisitions-related aspects of the Shared Library System, with a particular emphasis on providing participating libraries with guidance on optimizing the usability of their Primo discovery systems in the network zone environment.

The Discovery Team will meet and communicate on an as-needed basis to resolve Shared Library System Implementation-related decision-points, and to provide guidance for Middlebury College and University of Vermont libraries as they implement Alma and Primo.

Principal goals for the Discovery Team will be to:

1. Engage with other library consortia using a Network Zone to learn best practices for configuring Primo VE and other systems that benefit the discovery and user experience
2. Conduct usability tests on the network-zone based discovery experience, and provide recommendations to participating libraries on configurations and implementation steps to optimize the user experience, usability, and accessibility of Primo VE.
