Boot Camp is a fun and affordable 2 ½ day immersion into science topics offering opportunities for librarians and library students interested in science, health sciences, and technology to learn, meet, and network in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians 2024
This year’s Science Boot Camp will be held June 26-28, 2024 at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The New England Science Boot Camp for Librarians is a fun and affordable 2 ½ day immersion into science topics offering opportunities for librarians and library students interested in science, health sciences, and technology to learn, meet and network in a fun, laid-back atmosphere.
The topics for this year's SBC science session are:
Fisheries Oceanography
Civil & Environmental Engineering
Community Nursing
Each science session will include one scientist presenting an overview of the field, and a second scientist discussing research applications within the field. This year's Capstone will feature Citizen Science in Academic Libraries with speakers who are doing citizen science in their libraries and in campus classrooms.

Who Should Attend
Students, faculty, librarians, library workers, and anyone interested in learning more about science, health sciences, and technology.
