Evaluating Resource Sharing Software

Explore BLC's efforts to develop practitioner-driven evaluation criteria for library resource sharing software and investigate the functionality of current options on the commercial marketplace.

In alignment with BLC's strategic initiative to enhance resource sharing systems, the ILL Systems Evaluation Working Group has developed a set criteria to aid libraries and consortia in evaluating the functionality of their resource sharing software. We encourage others in the resource sharing community to utilize these criteria to identify local priorities of your resource sharing software and advocate with library administrators and software vendors to collaboratively address the needs of resource sharing practitioners of all library backgrounds.
