The Brandeis Library launched its Strategic Collections Project in the summer of 2022 with the goals of updating our physical collection, creating space for new materials, and improving discovery of the remaining collection.
Over the next 3-4 years, staff will systematically assess the physical collection and identify materials for deselection, digitization, and replacement using various analytic tools, including Ex Libris’ Alma LMS and OCLC Greenglass.
Join Alexis Scanzani, Manager of Acquisitions & Discovery at the Brandeis Library, for this presentation where she will discuss where Brandeis is in the project, how they got here, and the strategies and challenges they've encountered while implementing a large-scale weeding project.
