Lunch & Learn is a virtual program series created to provide a space for vendors to discuss products and services with BLC members. BLC does not endorse or recommend any products or services highlighted in this series.
JSTOR is offering BLC members a supported path to JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services, an accessible platform that brings together digital asset management, long-term preservation, tools for access and discovery, and collections processing support through JSTOR Seeklight. Seeklight is the first-of-its-kind collections processing tool that provides item-level metadata, transcription for handwritten and typed materials, collections summaries, and more.
In this session, Jessica Clemons, Director of Business Development of JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services, will share an inside look into Seeklight, including flexible tiers with options for every institution and insights into current and future product developments. Ellen LeClere, Head of Processing and Collection Management for Special Collections and Interim Director of Digital Ventures, and Michael Ward, Director of Library Technology & Discovery Services, of Boston University will speak to BU’s adoption and implementation of Seeklight this past year and answer member questions. This session will also highlight BLC’s newest affinity group, the Digital Stewardship Services Community of Interest, created to support peer learning, influence JSTOR’s direction, and surface consortial opportunities among staff using (or interested in) JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services.
Institutions that sign up by March 31, 2026 will be included in the pilot program. Commercial terms for BLC's partnership with JSTOR to offer Digital Stewardship Services are available to members of BLC's HRM Committee, and upon request. Whether your institution is already participating or considering next steps, this session will outline recent updates, available options, and how JSTOR and BLC are supporting members involved in JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services.
Please note this session will be recorded.
