Community Charge

The Network Zone Campus Leads Community of Practice is charged with providing leadership for the overall Network Zone project and facilitating the work of the Network Zone Communities of Practice and working groups.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Network Zone project’s exploration and decision-making on how best to take advantage of the Network Zone to accomplish both the project’s and participating libraries’ goals.

  • In collaboration with central Boston Library Consortium staff, steward the ongoing relationship with Clarivate/Ex Libris, ensuring consortium participation in meetings and communities related to the Network Zone (e.g. the Consortial Community of Practice).

  • Engage regularly with the Network Zone Communities of Practice and working groups around groups’ ongoing work, progress towards annual goals, and broader Network Zone project topics requiring input and discussion.

  • Lead an annual goals-setting process for the Network Zone project, incorporating input from the Communities of Practice and working groups, and providing a recommended set of goals and directions to the campus directors.

Membership

Membership in the Network Zone Leads CoP is limited to one representative from each member institution, one of whom serves as chair.

Membership is reviewed and renewed each June beginning June 2026.

Meetings

The Campus Leads Community of Practice meets on a monthly basis.
