Share Community Generated Resources
Scope of the BLC Resource Hub
The BLC Resource Hub is a centralized platform designed to support the work of BLC Communities by providing access to key consortial resources. Phase I of this project focused on consortially generated policies, reports, tools, presentations, and templates. For Phase II of the Resource Hub, we invite contributions from BLC Communities to share out any work products, initiatives, or educational resources that BLC Communities have undertaken in their consortial work.
Appropriate resources for inclusion may include:

Reports from Community projects or investigations, such as the E-Book ILL Roadmaps or the Shared Services Working Group Report.

Community developed best practices or cheat sheets introducing new members to various BLC membership communities, such as the Access Services COI one sheet.

Any other templates, tools, trackers, or open educational resources developed by a BLC Community.
Less appropriate resources would include:

Any resource, entity, or project that is not developed by or on behalf of a BLC community.

Resources authored by individual members of a BLC Community focused outside of the scope of that group.

Opinion pieces, research articles, or product/resource reviews.
Submission Process
BLC Communities interested in submitting resources for the Resource Hub should complete the following steps:
Formatting Guidelines for BLC Resource Hub Submissions
Document Format
- .docx OR Google Doc (shared as a link with Editor permissions)
- Margins: 1” top and bottom, 1.5” right and left
- Please do not include a cover page or page numbers - these will be added by Team BLC as part of our editorial process.
Font
- Use Arial for the entire resource, except where a special symbol is needed that is not offered in that font
- Text should be 12-pt, with possible exceptions for tables and image captioning (10-pt)
- All text should be black in color, with the possible exception of hyperlinks
Style & Formatting
- Submissions may utilize any standard formatting and citation style (e.g. APA, Chicago, etc.) as long as they are consistently utilized.
Alt Text
- Please add alt (alternative) text to any included images, infographics, or charts to ensure that all visual content is accessible to users relying on screen readers. Below are several resources to aid in the development of your alt text:
Editorial Overview
- All resources will be reviewed within 2 weeks of submission by Team BLC to ensure they meet the formatting guidelines above and fall within the scope of appropriate resources for the Resource Hub.
- Team BLC will identify the appropriate program area for the resource, add a standardized cover page, and may modify submitted document formatting to ensure it aligns with the above guidelines.
- Team BLC will share the final draft with the submitter prior to publishing on BLC’s website.
Revisions & Removals from Resource Hub
