Library Management Skills Series: How to Read a Budget

In this introductory budget session, attendees will have the opportunity to see multiple types of budgets, and be given signposts for how to interpret and understand them. Before diving into actual spreadsheets, we’ll cover some budgetary terms and concepts to help make sense of them. The session will provide a framework and process for how budget managers can gain familiarity with “new to them” budgets. Focusing on practical applications, there will be discussion and interaction, as well as coverage of common issues or tripping points for budget managers.
