Senior Managers
Community of Practice
Community Charge
The Senior Managers (SrM) Community of Practice (CoP) serves a strategic role within the BLC, centering its work on two areas of importance. The SrM CoP undertakes strategic initiatives that build the success of the BLC. The SrM CoP also serves to strengthen the leadership abilities and potential of its members by providing a forum for sharing ideas and arranging formal training opportunities on topics related to leadership, strategy, and the organization of libraries. The CoP undertakes initiatives on its own, in cooperation with other BLC Communities, or at the request of the BLC Board of Directors.
Reporting to the BLC Board of Directors
The SrM CoP will provide an annual report to the BLC Board of Directors, outlining the group’s accomplishments for the previous year.

Meetings
The SrM CoP currently meets monthly and additionally as needed.
Members volunteer to host informal Teatimes to share information and/or seek input relevant to Senior Managers. Hosts are responsible for picking the topic and format and are encouraged to bring 3-5 questions to the group to facilitate engagement. If you would like to host a Teatime, please sign up here:
